The IRS is conducting a phone survey to help it improve services to tax professionals and their clients.
The voluntary survey will begin today and continue through Jan. 19, 2024, the IRS said in an email announcement. Tax practitioners may be selected randomly to participate in the survey, which will take about 20 minutes.
The survey covers topics including e-filing, due diligence requirements, data security, and electronic document submission. All responses are anonymous and confidential, the IRS said. Respondents will not be asked to provide any personal or client information.
ICF, an independent research firm hired by the IRS, will conduct the survey and will be making calls between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. local time Monday through Friday. Calls will come from the 816 area code.
For more information or questions about the survey, tax pros can email TaxProfessional@icfsurvey.com or call (888) 504-6387.
